Author: packy (MA) it should be pretty simple to find the problem. once it has failed, use a multimeter to see if there is 24V at the gas valve. that's a pretty old boiler so there probably isn't a spill switch or vent damper for the 24V to pass thru. 24V no doubt comes from the control straight to the gas valve.
